Instead of this, you can make some amazingly effective face masks at home with ingredients available in the kitchen. They are safer and full of nutrients.

Homemade face masks you can make at home, include:

1. Coconut oil face mask
In a bowl, mix some coconut and pomegranate seed oil. Clean your face and neck and apply the mixture. Let it stay on your skin for an hour and wash it off. Pomegranate oil can be made at home by boiling crushed pomegranate seeds in olive oil or coconut oil, straining it, and bottling to store. Coconut oil is filled with antioxidants and pomegranate seeds are rich in vitamins and minerals. They nourish the skin, making it firm, and reversing skin damage and aging. This mask can be used daily.

2. Avocado face mask
Smash half an avocado in a bowl and add 1 tablespoon of powdered oats to it. Apply the mask to your face and leave it on for 10-20 minutes. Wash your face with lukewarm water and pat your face dry with a soft towel. The mask is antioxidant-rich and helps to fight the signs of aging like sagging skin, fine lines, and wrinkles.

3. Banana face mask
Smash one banana in a bowl and add 1 teaspoon of rose water to it. Mix it well and apply the mixture to your face and neck. Let it dry for 15 to 30 minutes and wash it off with cold water. Use this mask twice a week. This mask is rich in vitamin E and A, which heal skin damage and add a natural glow. It also reduces pigmentation which is caused by aging.

4. Rice water face mask
Drain the water from cooked rice. Soak a towel with the water and apply it on your face. Let it stay on for 10 minutes and wash it off. This mask is used extensively in Korean homes; it’s one of the main reasons for their beautiful skin. Rice water contains flavonoid compounds that fight against the signs of aging. It also tightens the skin.

5. Coffee mask
In a bowl, mix 1 tablespoon of coffee, 1 teaspoon of cocoa powder, and 1 teaspoon of coconut oil to form a paste. Apply the paste on your face and neck. Leave it on for 15 to 20 minutes and wash it by gently, exfoliating it with cold water. To get the best results, try this twice or thrice a week. The mask smoothens the face and reduces fine lines. It also helps to remove dead skin cells.
